With the Self-Build and Mix and Match options currently available, your new home will be paid for in stages, rather than as a single amount. Your first payment will be for the land for your chosen serviced plot. The remainder of the payments will be staggered as the building commences. Rather than borrowing funds using a traditional mortgage, a stage payment mortgage is required. This releases funds in stages, throughout the build, either before or after each stage of the works.
