FAQs
Why Bicester?
A vibrant community in a fantastic location, Bicester has it all. If you’re looking for somewhere close to London but much more affordable, then Bicester is a great option.
The surrounding countryside and three nearby nature reserves offer a relaxed and peaceful environment for walking and cycling. The Island Pond Wood nature reserve has a lovely circular walk around the wood, or closer to town, you can take a stroll around the beautiful gardens of Garth Park or Bure Park. There are also historical walks around the town during the summer, so you can explore and learn about Bicester’s rich history and heritage.
Bicester hosts many events from the Jazz Festival and Last Night of the Proms to the Big Lunch and the switching on of the Christmas Lights. There is always something happening in this lively, active community.
London is just one hour away by road or rail, and Bicester is also near Oxford – a mere 12 miles away. Oxford has a wealth of theatres, museums, galleries and art collections, and for those who prefer to take in the shops, the new Westgate shopping centre is a must.
What and where is Graven Hill?
Graven Hill is a brand new, beautiful village development based on the outskirts of Bicester. With a varied mix of housing on offer, including self-build and custom-build plots, new builds, Part Exchange and Shared Ownership schemes, Graven Hill is suitable for households of all sizes. The Graven Hill site also provides a strategic location for new employment space, creating jobs and training for local people and attracting new investment into Bicester.
What amenities does Graven Hill have?
We have big plans for the future here at Graven Hill. In time, our community will have its own primary school, pre-school nursery, community centre, village shops and a local pub.
For those with older children and teenagers, there are many additional schools located in the Bicester area, each with its own vibrant and dynamic style.
Those who enjoy expansive green spaces will find plenty of woodland, allotments, a network of cycle and footpaths, and a variety of outdoor communal areas onsite.
If this sounds like your ideal style of living, then Graven Hill may well be for you. Check out our virtual tour to find out more.
I’m a first-time buyer – can I afford it?
Getting a foot on the property ladder and buying a three bedroom property can seem daunting if you’re a first-time buyer. Fortunately, the government’s Help To Buy scheme is designed to bridge the gap. From 1st April 2021, the Help to Buy scheme will be available to first-time buyers only.
Use the Help to Buy calculator to give you an idea of what the monthly costs could be if you choose to access a Help to Buy Equity Loan.
