Self-build is all about design and build freedom. With a self-build home, you have the highest level of control and ultimately all of the decisions are made by you.

Whether you do the work yourself or commission someone else to do it for you, you have complete control over its design and build, within the Plot Passport constraints. You choose the location, the size of the property, the layout and look of the home, the materials, the finishes… everything.

You are able to choose how to make the best use of your plot based on what you want, for example by maximising natural light in your home or achieving greater levels of energy-efficiency.

At Graven Hill we have serviced Self-Build plots to help you get started. With our Self-Build package, you don’t have to worry about the foundations, substructure, drainage or on-plot connection for utilities.

This is constructed by Graven Hill to accommodate your specification, layout and design. Services (power, water, gas and telecoms) are brought to your plot boundary for future connections to be made by you.

To help you through this critical part of the self-build process, all Self-Build plots at Graven Hill come with their own unique Plot Passport. If you follow the rules and guidelines in the Plot Passport you’ll have pre-approved outline planning permission.
