Inspiring, innovative new and returning brands across all areas at Grand Designs Live
Grand Designs Live, proudly sponsored by Anglian Home Improvements, will return to Birmingham’s NEC from 9 – 13 October 2019.
This inspiring event promises to break through the conventional limitations in home building to offer visitors the chance to discover the very latest innovations in home design, build, renovation and decor, explore current trends, preview new products and find brands not yet seen on the high street.
Based around the concept of the Channel 4 TV series, and presented by design guru Kevin McCloud, the event will be filled with over 400 exhibitors, spanning five different sectors; Build, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Gardens and Interiors, along with a slew of exciting and exclusive talks, seminars and demonstrations from industry experts.
Follow the Innovation Trail
Visitors can follow the all-new Innovation Trail around the event, comprising of nine ground-breaking brands that are changing the landscape and nature of home building and renovation.
The trail incorporates the world’s first Milk Bottle House, by Six Miles Across London Limited (SMALL), which demonstrates the kind of green-minded and design-friendly innovation that Kevin McCloud, and Grand Designs Live choose to champion.
Modern Method of Construction (MMC) specialists Built & Spaces, who will showcase their innovative, adaptable and sustainable approach to construction through a 200 square-metre interactive space that has been custom created for Grand Designs Live.
Green&Blue design an award-winning range of products for wildlife, creating nesting and resting and feeding spaces for birds, bats, and bees; using recycled materials and inventive methods, to encourage biodiversity within builds.
Other innovators include Kevin’s Green Heroes, Smarthaus, Composite Garden Buildings, BORA and Lutron.
Find innovative products at The Grand Build Hall
The Grand Build Hall will showcase products to advance any and every project, from renovating a period property or adding an extension to an existing home.
Self-builders will find ground-breaking ideas ranging from construction to finishing touches, as well as the latest developments in sustainable and eco-technology along with inspiring designs from an array of architects; coming together to create a home that is truly exceptional.
A top selection of build suppliers including Internorm, E J Lazenby Contracts and Maxlight will offer an array of top-quality essential materials and services necessary for home builders. Visitors can also discover beautiful, professional and creative lighting design from The Secret Lighting Company, while Express Bi-Folding Doors, will be showcasing their newest models and systems.
Also, on show will be products from the world’s leading sliding door and window system, Sightline Aluminium.
While Pirnar’s innovative and award-winning entry doors complete with elegantly concealed handles, hidden fingerprint readers, automatic night illumination and beautifully handmade smooth surfaces, will also be on show.
Grand Interiors offers stylish ways to finish and furnish a home
Visitors can discover unique products from individual designers and browse hundreds of brands not readily available on the high street including beautifully designed sofas by EgoItaliano.
Discover luxury made-to-measure shutters, blinds and curtains from Thomas Sanderson, along with the British Wool Marketing Board where visitors can try out wool carpets and furnishings. Another highlight, not to be missed, is the British Design Shop, which will showcase homegrown designs in everything from fabric to furniture and beyond.
Be inspired by Grand Kitchens and Bathrooms
Grand Kitchens will offer some of the most pioneering kitchens and appliances on the market from the likes of Lloyd Charles Handmade Kitchens and Kutchenhaus.
Returning to the show, Bora will present their premium cooktop extractors, while Kitchenex will showcase their range of premium cooking appliances and extractors from ILEX and Faber. From bespoke fitted to free standing, strategic design to storage, visitors will find solutions to all their culinary needs; along with the cutting-edge finishing touches that are essential to any kitchen.
Grand Bathrooms, another highlight at this season’s show, will include exhibitors such as Bluewater Bathrooms & Kitchens who provide a full bathroom design and installation service to transform your current bathroom into a relaxing and luxurious sanctuary, along with other exciting brands including Roccia Tiles and Bathrooms.
Make the most of your outside space
Those with a particular interest in the Grand Gardens section can discover brands spanning a variety of areas of interest including outdoor cooking, swimming pools, garden buildings, hot tubs, landscaping and much more. Sponsored by Hydropool, visitors will explore an abundance of new and exciting ideas. Beautiful garden buildings from Browns Garden Buildings and extraordinary greenhouses form Cultivar are sure to inspire garden lovers, while Oaktree Garden Centre will showcase premium garden furniture to suit every garden.
